Tournament rules

The tournament is played according to FIFA’s football rules with the following additions:
Instead of cautions (yellow card) limited order off will be used (5 minutes).
In all playing groups the substitutes may be changed often (Max 16/11/8 players per team). 
No player may be registered for more than one team.
 
In the preliminary/qualifying round teams get 3 points for a won match and 1 point for a draw.
In case 2 teams or more are even after the preliminary round the following regulations determine which teams shall proceed:
1) Winner of the match between the 2 teams that are even will continue (head to head competition)
2) Goal difference in the match between 2 equal teams (goals scored minus goals aallowed)
3) Superior goal difference
4) Goals scored.
5) Most wins
6) Penalty kicks/shoot off.
 

Referees:
Only referees from approved Danish and/or foreign referee clubs are being used`.
 
Dispensation:
Upon written application prior to the tournament dispensation for max. 2 players on 11-a-side teams and  max 2 players on 8-a-side teams max. 1 player on 5-a-side teams
born previous year may be granted. Dispensations granted by the national football associations and/or local football unions are also valid during Vildbjerg Cup, however only in writing.
 
Number of players:
Each 11 a-side team may consist of max. 16 players in each match, e.g. max 5 substitutes may be used per match. 
8-a-side teams may consist of max 12 players, e.g. max. 4 substitutes per match.
5-a-side teams may consist of max 8 players, e.g. 3 substitutes per match.
 
Time schedule:
The teams will please meet 15 min. before the match schedule on the playing ground and a team representative shall please report to the guard (”banevagt”).
 
Kick off:
First mentioned team in the programme kicks off nearest to the field Number.
Break in the half is for 1 minute only and is to be observed strictly. The referee is authorised to start the 2nd half after 1 minute’s break even though only 1 team is ready.
 
Shirts:
In case two teams have the same colour of shirts, last mentioned team shall change.
 
Team cards:
Upon arrival please deliver a team card/roster including names, date of birth and year of each competitor.On request each competitor shall be able to provide proof of his/her date of birth with a passport or an identity card. No player may be registered for more than one team.
 
Protests:
Protests, if any, shall be notified to the referee and the guard before the players leave the playing ground. Protests against a referee's decision shall be notified immediately. Protest and/or complaint about any of the competitors shall be referred to the tournament office ("Turneringslsedelse") in writing in Vildbjerg Stadion-Hal. A protest committee will then deal with the matter. Protest fee: DKK 200 must accompany any protest. If the protest is met fee will be returned. The decision of the protest committee cannot be appealed.
 

Vildbjerg Cup is played by the Danish Football Association’s Football laws / FIFA rules with the following additions:
-No player may be registered for more than ONE team
- Time limited suspension ( 5 minutes) in stead of a yellow ward
- Substitutes may occur at any dead ball situations.

If a match in the final round ends even: Penalty kicks. 3 kickers from each side will take penalties. If still drawn, the penalties will continue until a winner has been found.

Penalty kick procedure:
The referee decides which goal to use for penalty kiks.
Winner of the coin toss decides which team shall kick first.
All spectators shall stand away from the goal line.
Each team starts with 3 kickers – complying with the competition rules.
Once a player has kicked, he/she returns to “own” corner flag…...
The goal keeper stands at the goal line .
 

Number of players per match:
5-a-side: max 8 players
8-a-side: max 12 players
11-a-side: max 16 players 

Extra player on the playing field:
Aiming at having as even matches as possible and trying to avoid big losses, teams are allowed to have and extra player enter the pitch as soon as there is a goal difference of 3 (3-0, 4-1 etc.) If the goal difference between the two teams is 6, the team behind may have an additional player enter the field.


 


8-a-side rules

Number of players
Up to 12 players per match, 8 players starting on the playing field..

No kick off if one of the teams consists of less than 6 players..
A match is full time regardless of the number of players of the team..

Substitutes may occur at any dead ball situation during the entire match.
Enter and exit at the half-field mark only.

If a player receives a caution (yellow card) he/she is suspended for 5 minutes.
During same 5 minutes the team is reduced by 1 player..


Kick off
The ball may be kicked in any direction.
Defending players must stand minimum 7 m away from the ball until it is in play.


Offside
the off side rule does not apply.


Goal keeper / passbacks
The goal keeper is not allowed to pick up a back pass.

Any free kick is direct, yet if a defender commits an offense on own area which would mean an indirect free kick  according to usual competition rules, a direct free kick is awarded outside the penalty area – as close to the “offense mark” as possible, this could be playing in a dangerous manner.


Free kick
Defending players must stand min 7 m away from the ball.
Any free kick is direct, yet an offense committed by a defender in own area which would mean an indirect free kick according to usual competition rules a direct free kick is awarded outside the penalty area – as close to the ”offense mark” as possible, this could be the goal keeper picking up a back pass.


Penalty kick
Penalty kick 8 m from the goal line and in the centre of the pitch..
All other players – apart from the goal keeper – must be outside penalty area and minimum 7 m away from the ball.


Goal kick

Goal kicks and free kicks: Opponents must remain outside the penalty area and at least 7 m from the ball.


Corner kick
Opponents must be minimum 7 m away from the ball..
U13-U18: kick from corner flag
​U9-U12: kick from line between goal post and corner flag.

5-a-side rules:

Number of players
up to 8 players per match, 5 starting in the playing field..

A minimum of match cannot start if one of the team consists of less than 3 players.
A match is completed regardless of the number of players of the team..

Substitutes may occur at any dead ball situation during the whole match.
Enter and exit at the half-field mark only and when the ball is not in play.

If a player receives a caution (yellow card) he/she is suspended for 5 minutes.
Team continues with less 1 player during the same period..


Kick off
The ball may be kicked in any direction
Defending players must stand minimum 5 m away from the ball until it is in play..


Offside
There is no offside rule

Goal keeper/ backpass
The goal keeper can pick up a backpass in the penalty area if a player kicks or throws the ball to own goalkeeper, regardless where it happens.


Free kick
Any free kick is direct, yet if a defender commits an offence on own area which would mean an indirect free kick  according to usual competition rules, a direct free kick is awarded outside the penalty area – as close to the “offense mark” as possible, this could be playing in a dangerous manner.


Penalty kick
Penalty kick 5 m from the goal line and in the centre of the pitch. .
All other players – apart from the goal keeper – must be outside the penalty area and minimu 5 m away from the ball.


Goal kick
The ball shall be kicked or thrown out of the penalty area to be put in play. Opponents must stand  outside the area, minimum 5 metres away.


Corner kick
Kick from line between goal post and corner flag.

Defending players must be minimum 5 m away from the ball.
